tjent — norwegian: “earned”. the full stop is the coin. Not just invoices — a compliant German e-invoicing and light-bookkeeping tool that happens to start from your tracked time. Core accounting records stay on your Mac by default; only integrations you enable, license checks and update requests use the network.
ZUGFeRD, XRechnung, Factur-X
Real e-invoices, not just PDFs: hybrid PDF/A-3 with embedded EN-16931 XML, validated against KOSIT, Mustang and veraPDF. Gap-less numbering and proper Storno (cancellation) documents.
EÜR, UStVA, fixed assets
Your books, kept as you work: cash-basis EÜR, a VAT return (UStVA, fields 81/86/66/83), §19 small-business and §13b reverse-charge, plus AfA depreciation on fixed assets.
Capture, OCR, DATEV
Snap a receipt and on-device Vision OCR plus AI pull out the numbers. Posts to SKR03/SKR04, and exports a clean DATEV EXTF file (revenue, expenses, VAT, AfA) for your tax advisor.
Write-once, audit-logged
Finalised documents are immutable and audit-logged — a GoBD-friendly archive that lives on your Mac, not a cloud you rent. Your data stays yours.
23.5 unbilled hours, three projects, one client — tjent sees what Døgn tracked and drafts the line items for you. Rates included, nothing typed twice.
A clean document your client actually understands — with folo meeting recaps attached as proof where it helps. Proposals work the same way: Døgn estimate in, quote out.
Money lands, you hit the button, and the status flips to the word itself. This button is why the app exists. Try it on the attachment:
every line knows where it came from: gold = Døgn hours · coral = folo proof
møt is where you meet, folo remembers what was said, Døgn tracks what it cost — tjent turns it into the invoice. The work remembers itself, all the way to the money.
- Does tjent create ZUGFeRD / XRechnung e-invoices?
- Yes. tjent writes hybrid ZUGFeRD/Factur-X invoices (PDF/A-3 with embedded EN-16931 XML) and XRechnung 3.0, validated against KOSIT, Mustang and veraPDF — with gap-less numbering and proper Storno documents.
- Does it do my EÜR and UStVA?
- Yes. tjent keeps a cash-basis EÜR (Einnahmenüberschussrechnung) and prepares your VAT return (UStVA) with the standard fields, including AfA depreciation. It does not submit to ELSTER or your tax office for you — you (or your advisor) file the result.
- Kleinunternehmer (§19) and reverse-charge (§13b)?
- Both are supported: §19 small-business invoices without VAT, and §13b reverse-charge are handled on the invoice and in the books.
- Can I export to DATEV?
- Yes — tjent exports a DATEV EXTF file (revenue, expenses, VAT and AfA) on SKR03 or SKR04, so your tax advisor can import it directly.
- Is my data local?
- Yes. Core accounting data stays in a local database and GoBD archive by default. Configured webhooks send selected invoice-event payloads to endpoints you choose; optional cloud AI sends selected context to its provider, and Claude Code reaches Anthropic through the local CLI. License checks and updates are operational traffic, not accounting-content sync. No cloud account, no subscription.
- Does it build invoices from my tracked time?
- Yes. tjent reads the time you tracked in Døgn and builds a living invoice draft from it — rates included, nothing retyped. folo meeting recaps can ride along as context.
- What does it cost?
- €149, once. 24 months of updates are included, then €49/year for legal updates. The renewal checkout for those legal updates will be added separately, and there’s a free trial. The app is licensed through Paddle.
